Probably the best flowering vine for the prairies. Bright orange red flowers are profuse in spring and continue all summer. Not susceptible to the honeysuckle aphid.
Woody Vine: Easily climbs to 3m (10 ft). Sometimes grown as a mounding shrub or groundcover.
Foliage: Lustrous and thick. Terminal leaves frequently form a complete circle around the stem.
Flowers: Bright orange with red inside. Very showy.
Comments: Hummingbirds love this one. Developed in Dropmore, Manitoba by Skinner’s Nursery. Climbs by tough tendrils that require something to attach to.
